  NAPGA project

North Africa Petroleum Geological Atlas
The North African Petroleum Geological Atlas (NAPGA) project will give easy and inexpensive access to the accumulated knowledge held by several organisations on the basins of the area and help gaining a better understanding of the geology of North Africa. A comprehensive and systematic overview of the results of over 100 years of petroleum exploration and research in the North African region, including Morocco, Algeria,Tunisia, Libya and Egypt will be published both in paper and digital (GIS) format. It follows the launch in 2004 of the 'Millennium Atlas: petroleum geology of the central and northern North Sea' and the Petroleum Geological Atlas of the Southern Permian Basin Area (2010).

Sponsorship
An estimated budget of at least EUR 6 million will be required, in addition to free author commitments and data supply. In order to produce a high-quality Atlas with a very low purchase price, it is intended to fund the project through corporate sponsorship by companies/agencies from all sectors that would benefit from further development of the hydrocarbon industry in North Africa (e.g. exploration, development, contracting, banking and law).

Contact
To signify your potential participation and interest in the NAPGA-project please contact the project manager at the address below. In a later stage a detailed project plan including budget breakdown and sponsorship opportunities will be sent to you upon request.
